2. Does Insight Broadband offer parental controls?

3. How fast is Insight Broadband service?
Up to 4 Mbps download and up to 384 Kb upload.

5. Can I buy a modem from Insight Broadband?
Yes, you can purchase one outright for $39.99 or if you prefer you can take advantage of the lease to buy option where you pay only $3.95 per month for 12 months after which point you own the modem.
6. Can I keep my current (Yahoo, Hotmail, Google etc. email address?
Yes, ordering Insight Broadband service will not affect your web mail account.
7. Can I choose my own username and email address?
Yes, you will be instructed on how to create your username, email address and password during the installation process.
8. How much web space does Insight Broadband include?
10MB of personal web space
9. Does Insight Broadband charge for Technical Support?
Free technical support is available 24 hours a day.
10. Will Vonage or any other Voice Over IP Service (VoIP) work with Insight Broadband?
Yes, Vonage (or any other VoIP provider) will work with Insight Broadband. For more detailed information contact your VoIP provider for technical assistance.
11. Do I need an Internet service provider like AOL in addition to the Insight Broadband?
No, Insight Broadband is an all inclusive ISP (Internet Service Provider).
12. What happens if I move?
Please check insight.highspeed.com for Insight Broadband availability for your new location. If Insight Broadband is not available you can cancel your service without penalty.
13. What is a NIC card?
A NIC (or "NICK") card is a network interface, or is also known as an "Ethernet Adapter" that is on the back panel of the computer and connects to the cable modem. Most computers sold in the last 5 years have them pre-installed.
14. What does a modem do?
A modem is a device that’s needed for your computer to communicate at high speeds with the Internet.
15. Can I use my own modem?
Yes, however, it will not be supported should you require technical assistance.
